Evolution: Debate It

This will cover the issue of whether or not Evolution and or creationism are discussed in public schools. I will not cover church run schools because those that run church schools won’t even think of discussing evolution for fear of going straight to hell just for thinking about it.

Before we start I feel it necessary to state my beliefs on the issue at hand. I believe that Father God created all the living things seen and unseen in his own image, but we and all living things have adapted to our environment in which we live which is evident in the population just look around.

The Theory of Evolution has caused controversy since Darwin stated it in 1825 if memory serves me correctly. From the start of the controversy it’s been all about one thing Religion. From the start the “Church Elders” (to bring all faiths under one roof) thought it was the Devil himself trying to corrupt the masses, and frogs and locusts would descend, and hail would fall from a clear sky seven days of darkness ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow that was rather out there even for me any who. I learned all about Darwin’s theory of Evolution in the 8th grade and in High School Biology, and my faith unshaken for you evangelicals I repeat my faith was unshaken, and I didn’t burst into flames. I learned to open my mind and at least discuss issues that challenged what I had known all my life.

The final and main point here is the Theory of Evolution should at least brought for discussion not as a “This is right” teaching like most other scientific laws. It just offers another explanation for how we all got here. So for those who think evolution is “devil talk” leave the old order behind along with the witch hunts and other ridiculous stuff behind, and no your children won’t burst into flames if they have a discussion about evolution in school. It’s just a theory that’s all.
